‘Meikle Ferry Station' is a former Train Station (active for only 5 years between 1864 & 1869!). Latterly it was known as the ‘Dornoch Bridge Inn’, a popular pub, food, & function venue for both local clientele and visiting tourists. 



The property has been extensively renovated and modernised to create a complex which houses a café / restaurant and gift shop, and accommodation comprising a 4 Bedroom self-catering property.



The Café / Restaurant provides full table service for up to 60 covers. The food offerings focus on Locally Supplied Traditional Scottish fare and Home Baking. Our food is prepared using locally sourced and seasonal produce wherever possible. Our menus also offer a selection of Vegetarian and Vegan choices, recognising that these areas are often neglected by some restaurants. Additionally, we provide a varied choice of cuisine for children.

We also have outdoor seating (Beer Garden) for those warmer Summer days. We have music events in the summer season for people to enjoy local musicians in the summer sun.

Additionally, we offer a varied choice of cuisine for children. A ‘Kiddies Corner’ is provided for the entertainment of the little ones, during your visit.


The Cafe/Restaurant also Provides a great venue for Private Functions, such as Weddings, Business Events, Parties or Family Functions. 



We are a Dog-Friendly venue, so well-behaved 4-legged friends/companions are always welcome. 

Our recently opened Beer Garden has proved popular during the Summer Months, and we regularly host both indoor and outdoor ‘Traditional Music’ sessions to entertain our customers.

We now have our 8 passenger mini-bus available for getting you to and from Meikle Ferry Station, if driving is an obstacle. While the mini-bus is Primarily for our own clientele we are Fully Licensed and Insured as a Private Hire Operator so are also able to accommodate other Transportation needs as well. These include Hotel/Airport transfers, Golf Trips & Distillery Tours

Accommodation

Our Lodge’ is a 4 Bedroom cottage, conveniently situated between Dornoch and Tain, in the grounds of Meikle Ferry Station. It’s the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area and all it has to offer.

Linne Lodge

The property comfortably sleeps 8, with 3 of the 4 bedrooms providing en-suite facilities. The Living area is bright and cheery, boasting a cathedral style internal ceiling with patio doors leading out to the veranda area.
